Once, when I was still a young child, I accompanied my dad while he was doing some maintenance on his scooter. He sat me down on his scooter with very specific instruction not to pull a particular lever.

Moments later, I did pull the lever and the scooter started moving forward slowly.

We toppled to the ground a short distance away, without any injuries.
