My order of 2 mm by 200 mm High Speed Steel rods arrived this afternoon. Nice. Each piece can get me 4 gravers since my ideal length of graver is 50 mm.

I will probably cut them down to size tomorrow. For their geometry, I will need to think long and hard for the ones which I need before I start grinding. At the top of my head, I think I will need a few round ones of different sizes.

For now, I want to practice my engraving. It’s not my design, just something I found online and modified a bit. Really didn’t want to think too much about the design part at the moment; just want to get as much practice in as possible.

I’ve already transferred the design onto my copper plate and fixed the toner powder with the heat gun. Now waiting for the copper plate to cool down before I start.
