Had dinner at McDonald’s last night which was also my first visit to the international fast food chain in UK. Boy, it was disappointing!

My order was a Quarter Pounder with cheese burger with a side of fries and a cup of coke. While the beef patty was indeed Quarter Pounder sized, it came between the bun McDonald’s use for their regular cheese burgers. The cup of coke was flat, completely non-carbonated; it was basically syrup in water with ice. The only thing that’s normal is the fries; hot and crispy, slightly salted.

Bought an electric hair clipper from Boots. Only when I’ve reached home, did I realise that the guy didn’t remove the anti-theft lock on the box of my hair clipper! How unlucky do I have to be to receive such kind of service twice in a single night?

The wire on the lock was super secured on the red plastic bit, I couldn’t twist the red bit off. I tried to cut the cable part with various tools I’ve at home. I was fortunate enough to find a cutter which is strong enough to cut, after much effort, only a single strand of the wire, which has several strands twisted together. Slowly, I worked my way through the strands until I free my new hair clipper.
